nDAC not working with iPhone or iPad

Posted by: Paul Quigley ie on 04 January 2016

I used to be able to play music and podcasts by plugging in a sub lightning cable or the older 30 pin cable. Now the nDac unit just makes a soft clicking sound but no sound from the speakers. I have the latest nDac firmware and the latest IOS.  Any idasideas?

Thanks

Both front and back inputs?

Yes. Same with the back usb slot.

I presume your nDac works well with other inputs. You could try downgrading your nDAC software - the procedure is described in the manual. It's a quick process.

If the problem is gone, than we've nailed the culprit.

The only alternative that I can think of, is for you to contact the NAIM support tomorrow - perhaps they've seem this issue already and have a patch they could email you.

Just tried my 6S running 9.2 on my updated Ndac no problem, and using the front input as always.

What if you use the dock button to force the Ndac to use the usb input?

I seem to remember that there is a way to reset the Ndac but not how you do it.

All fixed now. Thanks for the help.

I did a reboot and used the doc button to force the selection of the USB input and then it all worked
