Hi, am currently running a Unitiqute 1 with a NAP 100 power amp. 100% of my music is now streamed via a Sonos Connect, either Spotify, Tidal or from my own iTunes music library.
I'm wondering now if I should drop the Unitiqute and upgrade to a V1 in order to make the most out of streaming digital. I'm assuming that the V1 in partnership with the NAP100 will act as a pre-amp?
Any thoughts or recommendations here? Will the V1 improve the quality of my streaming audio? Any other options that would be recommended?
Given that the Sonos Connect does not have an asynchronous USB output, I'm guessing that optical would be the best option for connection?
Also, can two NAP100's be run in mono power amp mode either with the Unitiqute or with the DAC V1?

Certainly the V1 can act as the pre-amp for your NAP100, and is the natural partner for that power amp. I've never heard either qute, or the NAP100 myself unfortunately, and my own V1 is used purely as a DAC into an integrated amp. However, I would expect, largely based on the finding of others shared around here, that you will get a significant improvement by introducing a DAC-V1 into your system.
In terms of the streaming solution, I am sure optical will be fine from the Sonos, though some recommend using re-clockers in between the Connect and the DAC, but I'm sure someone will be along to explain all that at some point. Personally, I have found the best SQ results from the V1 are achieved using a PC/MAC USB output. If you have a laptop of some kind at your disposal, then combined with the DAC-V1, a number of other streaming options are open to you.
