Another legende gone.
I am shocked. Just started listening to Blackstar yesterday. One of the great artists of the 20rh century. What a great legacy he has left us.
Unbelievable - a true music legend. RIP
Hard to believe a true legend
Been enjoying his latest LP over the weekend
RIP
Richard
So sad..., RIP David, another great artist gone but never to be forgotten here.
Indeed very sad, and another victim of this terrible thing called cancer...
Really sad news. Will be Sadly missed. Thanks for the great music David.
R.I.P
Lost for words...
RlP David Bowie.
Graham.
I hadn't heard about the cancer, what a pity. He leaves an extensive and diverse musical and fashion legacy. Nice that he was able to leave a swan song album for his fans to enjoy.
Loss of a great talent
R.I.P.

A muician who leaves behind a great legacy.. and his final album, Blackstar, is a fitting end .. to me it's Bowie at his best .. and sounds strangely prophetic..

Thank you David. A truly great human has gone. A perfect last album he left us.
I don't often cry these days. Ziggy on repeat play. RIP to an irreplaceable musical genius.
A wonderful artist gone. I grew up in the 70's listening to his music... so many tunes so many memories.
Be at peace David
His music never really touched me but he was clearly a true original for whom the word 'icon' was probably justified. His latter years seem to have been spent creatively, and privately too. Not an easy trick. Appeared to live as he wanted so good for him.
Wether he died after a 'battle' with cancer or from a stroke or from falling down stairs seems irrelevant to me. It is a phrase I find very annoying, but a common media cliche.

Farewell and thank you David. Hunky Dory will forever conjure up for me happy memories of my Sister, Sarah. She'll be looking out for you in heaven.
David has gone - Ziggy lives for ever.
I was listening to a few tracks from his new album "Blackstar" on Saturday, strangely prophetic.
RIP David. Some great music over the years, and another loss of a great personality
RIP David from the begining to the end ever changing ever challenging - some of the finest albums, purchased Blackstar on sat - 180 grm vinyl - superb notes - free download (which worked!!) - always leading never followed
There's a starman waiting in the sky
He'd like to come and meet us
But he thinks he'd blow our minds
There's a starman waiting in the sky
He's told us not to blow it
Cause he knows it's all worthwhile
He told me:
Let the children lose it
Let the children use it
Let all the children boogie
Today will be a day of boogieing to Bowie music.
My eagerly anticipated copy of Blackstar has not even yet arrived. It will sound very different now. Such sad news.
What a testament to him that he spent some/most of his last months on earth making new music for us.
A very sad day, he was the reason I got into music. He'll never be missing from my hi fi.

Yes he could have done anything I suppose, not heard the new LP yet but the video looked spooky to say the least. Genius. Hunky Dory just played ... next up Ziggy.
That news hit hard, such a solid, continuous feature throughout many of our lives. Now we know that Blackstar was his epitaph and that he was very ill during the musical and video recordings. Brave, brave man sharing his pain and communicating with us all right to the end.
This came as a really shocking surprise to me as I had been totally unaware that he was suffering a serious illness. RIP David, thanks for all the music, the innovation and the style, your music will live on.
An enduring titan in music has departed. RIP Major Tom...
In those years i had only a cheap deck to record songs from radio.
This is one of the songs that changed forever my perception of music and that i want to thank you for.
Goodbye.
