Naim app iOS 4.8

There will be a new version of the Naim app available on the app store later today. Here are the release notes
Improved: Responsiveness of Multiroom volume control
Improved: Support for iPad Pro
Improved: Responsiveness of Spotify transport controls
Improved: Some foreign language translations
Improved: Play queue reordering (long press track to reorder)
Improved: Mu-so firmware update procedure
Fixed: Missing Rovi button on USB input
So this is why the font size on my iPad Pro has shrunk to an eye squintingly small size! The letters are about 2mm in height with capital letters being a 'whopping' 3mm.
I'm sitting 14 inches from the screen and can just make out the artist and song name. Can we please have the option of increasing the font size of the artist and track? What's the point of the iPad Pro's huge screen if you're going to have stupidly small information on it? Other than that this app is really polished and my preferred app for music.

i had a problem installing this latest version on my iPad -- basically the installation process just froze -- didnt behave like other updates before. in the end, i just power-cycled the iPad and searched for the naim app in appstore and after messing about, i was able to install/update it.
after that, i noticed that when you have 'randomize' set on a given playlist, it didnt start with track 1 -- as it used to do before -- sems it now starts on a different track each time. I like this feature -- in fact i believe this is what it was like in n-serve (or in a previous version of naim app -- not sure) -- but i am pleased with tis feature anyhow -- better random seed i guess...

Whats with the font size. I wouldn't say my eye sight is perfect but I am having issues reading the text on an iPhone 6S plus.

Just updated on an i pad 2 having brought its IOS up to date and now can't find ROVI button either on usb or UpnP from Unitiserve. Suggestions please.

I'm using it on my iPhone and it now cannot pick up my unitiqute in the room. If I try to enter it manually is says the streamer is not responding. Any ideas?
UQ is wireless, and streams with no problem. Controlled via the remote. Only issue is with app on iPhone, which worked fine until recently. Rebooted both phone and UQ. Also deleted and reinstalled app twice. Updated soft wear on UQ today and also on iPhone. I'm at a complete loss. Both phone and UQ on same wireless network
Also, is it just me, I'm sure there was previously a little line that went through the speaker icon for the mute control when mute was on? There's nothing now, the icon stays the same whether mute is on or off. Took me 5 minutes to work out why I had no sound yesterday!

Just tried to download the app on an ipad only coming to window where I have to register a mu-so.
I do not own a mu-so, so I don't understand this.
You don't have a streamer listed in your profile either so not sure why you've downloaded the Naim app. If you do have a streamer you should be able to link this to the app by adding it as a "Room"

The streamer needs to be connected to your network first. Then the app should find it, but until then, you can't access the app menu or settings. You'll just have to be patient!

can anyone confirm that since the upgrade they are able to use album lookup please. Mine continually searches for metadata! Or do I have a issue with my internet provider.

I can't lookup album information ... using App version 4.8 on iPad Air 2 and Sky Fibre Broadband.

What exactly do you mean?

When using the app and playing music I press the book icon to have a look at the album and flick the pages over to find more info. I do not get that far it just sits there trying to load the page with searching for metadata at the bottom.

Oh dear I am using and iPad 2 with Virgin broadband. Can anyone else confirm this
Ah, the Rovi database. It's not working here either, though it was fine yesterday. It must be a Rovi problem. I'll report the post to Naim so they can get on the case.
Rovi not working for me either, its a black screen.
