Printing list of CDs ripped to UnitiServe

Posted by: Jan-Erik Nordoen on 31 May 2011

Hi,

For insurance purposes, I would like to print out a list of my CDs. Now that they're all ripped to the UnitiServe, is there a way to print the list, say from the Desktop Client, or by exporting the database to Excel, for example ? I don't relish the thought of retyping everything into a separate database...

Thanks in advance

If you can point mediamonkey at your library (or a backup of it) it will let you dump it into a spreadsheet.

Hi, on reading this I gave MediaMonkey a go, but I see it doesn't catalogue WAV files, or I cant't make it do that.

I use OrangeCD Catalog to catalogue my ripped (and unripped) collection. It will scan drives/devices for all kinds of audio files and you can add / have it lookup a lot of information about the CD and its music. It scans tags from music files, also from tagged WAV!!! It can interpret directory names, it can do lookups on the internet using barcodes, etc. Look here http://www.firetongue.com/cd-database.html It is the most extensive and usefull music management program I have seen. - aleg
