I recently visited a book store that a had a rack of vinyl as well as some other audiophile-related stuff, including the April and May, 1955, issues of "The Grammophone Record Review".

Here are a couple of adverts that I hope bring back some memories!

I was three months old at the time and couldn't quite manage the pronunciation.

Great stuff though ...  a '"high-fidelity radiogram" ; "the extra heave balanced turntable" "fully tropicalised"... more please !

With pleasure!   A few more adverts to follow, but first, page one of a technical report on this new-fangled "stereo" concept...

And now, back to our sponsors (I wonder if 35 Guineas was a good price for a Junior Victor?  It works out to less than half a Guinea per pound)...
