Adding a ndx to a unitiserve/dac setup

Posted by: Fred on 02 June 2011

Hello Forum Members,

maybe there is an easy answer, but I donĀ“t understand it. As far as I know the unitiserve is a streamingplayer also, so it will work connecting it to a ndac directly. What is the difference then if I add a ndx, as a setup like unitiserve/ndx/dac. Does it make sense? Thanks for answers.

Hi Allen,

thank you for your fast answer.

Does this mean,  digout from unitiserve will not sound as good as via upnp and ndx? What are the differences in performance, handling  and sound between this two methods?

Using UPnP does seem to bring out the best from the Uniti Series and avoids all those rather boring "my digital cable is hand made by Venetian elves using only the finest audiophile grade pixie dust!" Tog
