Steven Wilson - 4½ EP

Lovin' it. Typical excellent SW jazz-infused atmospheric prog-rock. Ninet Tayeb's vocal on the reworked 'Don't Hate Me' is simply gorgeous.

Roll on '5'.

Completely agree John, The usual high quality from Mr Wilson, great sounding LP.

1st run, first impressions interesting, less atmospheric as some other recordings.

Needs more runs to define a real opinion.

I would hope to see Steven back in Porcupine Tree, as I think he is best in that context.

Hi Bert,

What's your opinion of Hand.Cannot.Erase? I think it's SW's best solo album to date and right up there with the PT material.

Awesome work, as usual, from Steven Wilson. I bought the FLAC-version last night, it's also available in HD but I went for the regular version. I've listened it through many times already after last night. Love the first and fifth tracks and I also like the new version of Don't Hate Me. The bass line on the fifth track (Vermillioncore) creates such a hypnotic base for the track, I think this is the best track on the album.  Steven Wilson's ability to create catchy melodies and rhythms is unparalleled. I still think his best works are from Porcupine Tree era but he has improved on every single solo album released to date. Hand. Cannot. Erase. is his best solo album.

Agreed on Hand Can Not Erase, saw him perform it at Cambridge, amazing gig.

ps I have heard a whisper P/T are performing some live gigs this summer. Let's hope it's true.
