Anyone Using Audioquest Speaker Cables?

is anyone out there using Audioquest cables with their Naim kit? Historically I've always stuck with Chord cables and use Odyseyy atm but I've got some Audioquest Go-4 speaker cables on home demo at the moment and I've got to say that so far I'm impressed! They are an expensive cable but do seem to make everything seem just a bit more lifelike and music sounds slightly more effortless than with the Chord cable.v. The only downside so far is that the sound is perhaps lacking a bit of depth; vocals seem a little set back and not thrown into the room (if that is possible!).

Does anyone else have any good for bad experiences of audioquest? Are any of their other speaker cables at around £50pm worth a try??

In general no. Not sure about the construction of the Go-4 but most Audioquest cables are litz designs (such as the Type-4 that Go-4 is based on) which according to Naim, present unstable loads to Naim amps. That, and solid core cables are not generally recommended for Naim either.

I've had some excellent AQ cables in my time for both speaker cables and interconnects. Would never occur to me use them with Naim though. That said, if your ears tell you it is better and the amp isn't getting hotter with this cable than another then go for it. Be interesting to hear what you think of it compared directly against the Naim A5 benchark cable. Generally that is the starting point for cable discussions: does it sound better or worse than A5?

The Go-4 is also designed with bi-wiring in mind which is also generally not bothered with using Naim.
