DAC Idea?

I would like to see a Naim DAC like the V-1, with an upgrade power supply the size of a HiCap. This would allow both units to fit neatly on one shelf and still compliment the system. Is that a nifty idea if it were possible?

Anything’s possible but would there really be enough demand, especially given the Chord competition around this price point. The problem is you end up having something that makes a nice two box solution (with Nap100) into a three box solution with more cables and complication, all for little gain.

People do seem to like collecting little boxes though: witness the Qute, V1, 100 system, with two preamps, two power amps and two dacs.
