which expensive hi- fi Rack ?
Posted by: wenger2015 on 28 January 2016
I have been spending some serious money just recently, Sopra2 's, Nap 250 Dr, Nac 282, hi cap, Tq ultra blacks...dedicated power supply....thanks to my son in law, qualified electrician and all round genius, that cost me nothing.
So I now contemplate another major expense, do I buy an expensive Naim fraim or another really expensive Rack?
Do the merits of high-end hi fi require nothing but the best?
Are their more economical alternatives?
Would appreciate the thoughts from the forum and your recommendations?

Good heavens. I suspect too much use of the item to the left of the picture caused the poor owner extreme audiophile neurosis...
My Fraim is on 'phase 3' right now. Lol!! ![]()
Wow!! Those were the days! I guess an example of hifi gone too far and taking over the house!!

Brilliant! One can only assume that the owner doesn't live in an area prone to seismic activity.

Looks suspiciously like a wacky back machine....not sure if it's been upgraded to Dr though......
I had decided that since I have outgrown my old stands unique rack that I would have to afford a Quadraspire rack or two even as I have now many boxes to house but until then I had to do a temporary move so I popped down to my local Ikea and for just over £40 bought a Besta tv stand for the main stuff and to a oak and pine shop I know in blindfold Forum for two cheap side tables to put my 6 power amps on and believe it or not its amazing. I no longer need the bamboo chopping boards I was using on my old glass shelves and although its not a permanent addition it has more than allowed me time to save up for anything better. I say better as I am not sure if what I have now is not the ultimate as it was such an improvement over the stands unique rack. I do though intend to try the Naim ball and cups and a piece of glass I have kept to see if that improves anything. i have always loved playing about with things and still do when ever I get a chance.
I wonder: nobody has mentioned the CREAKTIV racks so far. I have two at home. Sorry, no picture available, that's why I post one of a randomly website.

If it works well, then that's the main thing, but I suppose visually on the eye, SWMBO might not be so keen....

No I've not heard of this particular make, does it normally incorporate glass as well, not sure what the black is on the bottom shelf?

Considering the listening room looked a bit like your local hi-fi store, I'm glad that it did actually work, although I can't honestly understand why? I'm contemplating drinking a cup of tea stood on the kitchen table, just to see if it tastes better.....lol

You're welcome. Just found out they have an English website, there most expensive rack costs 6000 EUR or more and the shelfs have a somehow strange look ![]()

The Rack actually looks quite impressive, will have to go on line to see if their are any reviews, but as you rightly say rather expensive ...
