Naim SBL tweeter replacement query?

Hi forum.

I have had to replace a tweeter on my SBL speaker's and thought that a damper of a block of metal would be mounted on the original tweeter, but this was mounted on the cabinet enclosure instead at the rear of the tweeter? .any comment's?.

Hi, I'm puzzled by your question. I imagined both your carefully packaged tweeter boxes would go off to Naim and back they would come 2-3 weeks later, with a chit saying matched pair of tweeter fitted and that you'd been charged for them and two hours labour. Clearly not!

Doesn't stop me from hoping that you can sort this.

Hi Chris.

I have replaced the tweeter unit myself ,with a like for like replacement ,sourced from a speaker drive unit dealer, so have only my personal experience to relate in this. I realise that matching the tweeters is the ideal, but personally I am not that much of a perfectionist, but understand those who are.
