Streaming rates on Superuniti

I stream FLAC files which I saved with powerampDB (I think that's the name) on to my Buffalo Linkstation. When I play through the Superuniti they sometimes play at different rates, including 128 MP4. I am sure I did not save them at that rate. The system is all wired up through my Talktalk router. Any ideas what might be going on?

Your UPnP server is likely transcoding to MP4. You should be able to disable transcoding in the UPnP config screen.

Thank you. However, sometimes tracks stream in FLAC, sometimes they don't. Bitrate varies, sometimes 128, sometimes 270. Yet I am sure that when I ripped them all with dbPoweramp, the setting was FLAC lossless.

How would I change that setting you referred to? I am as Manuel here: "I know nothing".

I think the first thing you need to do is look in the folders of your music library and check what format the individual files are. If some are in a lossy format, the only solution is to re-rip CDs or re-download in a lossless format.

Thanks. I'll look at the files in the folder.
