2x Qb or Muso+Qb

Posted by: Emil Kozlowski on 17 February 2016

Hi!

I currently have a Muso at home and in my office a pair of Audio Pro T20 which I bought for 250£.

Sometimes I listen to my T20's (like now exactly) and can't help but liking the sound a bit too much compared to the Muso. Obviously I'm no audiophile but maybe someone can confirm I'm simply missing the soundstage a pair of speaker gives??

Anyway, I've been playing around with the idea of adding a Qb to my Muso, or even returning the Muso and change to two Qbs. But will two Qb play as two separate stereo speakers? And what would a Muso + Qb (same room) give me?

Looking forward hearing your thoughts (besides that I'm crazy).

Best

/Emil

Sounds to me like you want a Unitiqute and a pair of small speakers......?

I think you've answered your own question - replicating a stereo image from one location is not really going to work.

Agree with Chrissu - UnitiQute2 + speakers is the best option here.

+1 - best option, replication only makes sense in another room...

Thanks Adam, Bert and Chris!

Unfortunately that's beyond my budget. Will have to wait for Naim to release a sub to the Muso (if that would make me happier I don't know).

For the £600 price of a QB plus the proceeds of selling your Muso, you'd easily get a good used Unitiqute with a bit left over towards some speakers, so I'm not sure it would be a much more expensive option. That's what I'd do.

If you prefer to stick to Musos, I guess running two in multiroom mode should work - they will play in sync, although in effect, they'd be dual mono, not stereo.
