Tidal file formats on the Naim app

when using Tidal on the Naim app it shows the file format such as FLAC 44.1 kHz or AAC .

Does this indication comes from Tidal streaming server as part of the track info ? Or is it recognized by the Naim network player itself ?

music played on ND5 XS.

I think this is the Naim app reporting what the ND5 XS is telling it that it is seeing, so not part of the Tidal meta-data.

Hi, this is the Naim streamer recognising the media type and then advising the control point (Naim app) the format of the currently playing  media. With HTTP based streaming, there are specific standardised values for the different media data types, and so Tidal will describe the media using one of these type ids.
