Well, had the serviced 135's plugged in for a couple of weeks now......

WOW

omg these are 28 years old omg omg omg.

my set up has just been open to the universe. I would say you have no idea but I guess you do.

i have them stacked on a naim fraim base which is the icing on the cake, they have open up a part of my life that I just can't describe.

From this experience..(I've gone around the mulberry bush only once)

i would start where I will finish. The first buy would be a naim fraim then powerlines then boxes.

regards Mr blown away

oh thank you Ricard for recommending the 135's

Great headline.

You are quite right, I have no idea about the NAP135s. Enjoy them.

In 1994 I went from a 250 to 2 x 135s and experienced a similar epiphany.

I kept the 135s for 17 years - they drove everything I threw at them with ease and utter musicality.

Enjoy.

What did you change the 135s for and are the new power amps better?

Nick

I think I get what you're saying here. I'd do the same if I had to start again. Racking, cabling, and room treatment would come before gear upgrades. Better to have lesser gear situated correctly than greater gear set for shit. Hopefully one day I'll get there.

Roger that. However I did get a seperate wire off my  house mains to a none switched hardwood/brass  (Heritage style) wall socket. Got the "really big earth wire hook up to an over size brass bus etc. That bit I got right from the get go.
