Now that's a worthy use of the internet.

Could have used larger images (though one can right click then view/save etc. which is a good thing) but marvelous idea and very well executed.

Excellent use of links and I guess in time more info on various pieces will accumulate

Great idea and resource, although nothing beats seeing art in the flesh it might at least encourage people to see good works in lesser known galleries if they can.

Our own local favourite is Abbott Hall in Kendal. An interesting permanent collection and varied exhibitions over the years. A good visit if younare in the Lakes or just passing up the M6

Yes, a super idea - hopefully it will get more people visiting the nation's galleries and collections (often it won't cost a oenny to get in).

That's a strange place to get syphilis.

Agree, it's a nice site.

Also, if you haven't already come across it, it's worth looking at    http://www.artfund.org/get-inv...-national-art-pass-b   I'm rather surprised that the first site doesn't have very visible link to the second, since it is the same organisation.

ps agree with Rob about the Abbott Hall, a cracking gallery with some great exhibitions
