which Dynaudio for naim nait 5si

Hello. I need an advice
my hi fi system consists of:

Naim Nait 5si , Marantz SA8005 Sub Rel T5 cable wireworld oasis rca solstice for speakers.

I would change the speakers B&W 685s2 with the dynaudio because I read that sounds more hifi and an excellent coupled with naim.

do you think the Dynaudio Excite x18 or x14 are a good match with naim nait 5si.

Or else Dynaudio Emit M20?

the music I listen to is mostly rock and country, my favorites are Dire Straits, Pink floyd, David Bowie, guns n roses

I really like the sound of instruments such as drums and guitar

thanks to everyone for the advice

I heard a Nait 5si with Dynaudio Focus 260 speakers at my dealer -- the combination sounded great, and really showed what the Nait can do!

But -- I would get a Naim CD5XS (or a Sonos/NDAC) before sinking more money into the speakers.

How big is your room? Have a friend who had X16 with a 5i and he said it worked but thought the 5i struggled a bit at higher volumes. I would assume that would apply to the X18 as well but would be fine with the X14. Depending on how big your room is and how loud you like to listen may answer your question between the two. I would like to hear the X18 and compare to the Focus 160.

your answer may depend on it and if indeed you are particular about Dynaudio ??

the room is 16 m2 ( living room ) with arched opening on the left that opens onto another room 14 m2 . the listening volume is medium and low. The speakers are on stand with distance from the real wall of 70-80 cm.

You have the new more powerful 5i right? 60w? The X18 should do fine especially at low to medium volume.

yes , 60W to 8 ohm 90W 4 ohm

You should be golden with that. He moved from 50w 5i to 60w XS and said the XS did a great job with the X16.

the Dynaudio are better kef LS50?

Depends on your ears. Tough for me say what you may prefer. Some think the KEF are a bit fatiguing with their highs and they lack some low end. Others like that about them. I gave a pair of Dynaudio XEO 3 in another room and really enjoy them when I get to play them. For small speakers they play much larger than they are. Fir the type of music you listed I would tend to think Dynaudio is better but your ears may not agree with me.
