Streamers Update?

Posted by: Dustysox on 17 March 2016

Hi all,

Naim sure have been busy of late. I was wondering have things settled down on any further updates albeit firmware or app updates. I know the beta testers have also been busy but even that seems quite quite.

Are we all now happy?

Beta testing has gone as quiet as a very quiet thing

As a beta tester, it's true that we have done virtually nothing for a couple of months. We await further instructions.

What a great picture

Glad you like it Simon,  I've got hundreds (literally) of my own leopards,  but have to admit its not mine.

I cheated   .........   it's a www "cheetah"

Off to grab more leopards later this year   .........

My only question is why does the cat appear ultimately relaxed in every sense except for the curl at the end of its tail?

Maybe the curl retracts and unfurls with each snore/purr?

ILeopards asisoze salala       ............   leopards never sleep    .............  unlike beta testers

Well it seems beta testers are doing plenty of sleeping. It does seem odd that an update virtually promised for before Christmas hasn't turned up as Easter approaches.

The delay would be much easier to bear if the Naim people would keep us updated from time to time. So please let us know what's going on.

I wanna be a beta tester, seems tough. I'd rather be "lion" around anyway!!!!!!!

So, are we all happy? I'm happy with my NDS. The app could still be finely tuned. But on the hole I'm all good. Not sure I can remember what direction the NDS was taking for the testers?

The new firmware will enable the NDS to make coffee, so not sure if it's so great to be a tester. You will have to drink so much coffee that you will constantly on the fence and become a nervous lion.

But serious I am quite happy with my NDS - I have to believe that only a ND555 would make me considerably more happy.

HDX/Serve beta testers even quieter than the Press Office at the Ministry of Silence.

As far as I'm aware there's been nothing since mid 2013 for us to test.

Goes back to sleep...

My NDS is fine but I am getting a little fed up waiting for the Tidal FW update that is supposed to fix the drop out issue and provide enhance SQ from Tidal streams. This was the FW update originally scheduled for Xmas but was postponed to 'get it right' which I would applaud. BUT it it nearly Easter and no sign of even a progress update.

Many folk have already given up on Tidal and at £20/month it should not drop out (on a regular basis), also others may be more willing to pay this if the SQ was enhanced.

Come on Naim, what's happening?

There's a joke in there somewhere . . . .
