Supernait 2 changing audio channels

Posted by: Nic Chan on 21 March 2016

I have a problem for my supernait 2 reciving infrared beams from the remote since it's blocked by the edge of my bed in my bedroom. I try to connect the NDX remote out to the supernait 2's remote in with a 2 sided 3.5mm jack and turned on preamp from the system automation so I can control the volume with my iPad.

But now I encounter a problem when I try to change songs on Naim app my supernait 2 channel will bounce from CD (where I connect the NDX from) to aux1. Is this a know problem? Any fix to this? It's kind of annoying...

Thanks for the help

This behaviour is normal. It is defaulting to Aux1. Please ensure that you follow chapter 7.1 of the manual correctly to ensure that it defaults to the channel you want under automatic input switching. In my case, I use HDD as input.

You need to ensure that your SN2 is in the "preamp" mode by pressing the preamp button on the remote (you need to do this only once).

In the 'system automation' menu of your NDX, choose whichever input you'd like (it's described as Pre-'. In essence NDX sees the Supernait's pre-amplifier section (this is where the input switching takes place).

Nic - how is your NDX? Sounding better into the SuperNait?
