Radio streaming recorder for Android

Posted by: WaltCa on 23 March 2016

Hi,

I would like to listen to and record music from Internet radio streams. To avoid transferring them to my smartphone, it would be great to have an app which can handle recording hassle-free. Anybody of you made some experience with a good and free app? Thanks for your help!

I think you will find recording (copying) music is illegal - royalties & copyright etc..  I would not expect to find many of what you suggest are available.

Type 'record Internet radio app android' into Google.

........  I wonder how they get away with that without a truck load of lawyers in pursuit. Surprised to see so many different app makes.   I suppose its because it gets recorded as lossy MP3. Oh well,  as long as they don't start charging you & me a licencing fee for our WD Reds

The Radio Paradise app allows you to cache the stream for later offline playback, the aim being to avoid data charges on phones but it should work for you and it's free.

The Tune-in radio app has a simple record function, which is quite handy. I haven't tried it with music though, so I don't know what sort of sound quality you'd get.

I came across another app with a record function which could be useful for anyone having the same question. It's called Audials Radio - and it's free in contrast to Tune-In which only allows recording in the pro version.
