NAC 82 Phono grounding question

Posted by: Khan on 27 March 2016

Hello, i hope everyone is enjoying their easter weekend and i apologise in advance for disturbing you guys for what is a silly question I'm sure. I just had a quick question regarding my phono connection on my 82. So I've just bought a Rega turntable and I've made the connection to my NAC 82 using the bnc to phono adaptor. Now i have a section directly underneath which the manual says is the phono grounding terminal. I am a complete novice and do not know what I am to do with this. do i need to run a ground wire to the socket? or perhaps to the turntable. FYI I am using the Rega RP10.

Thanks

A turntable's signal lead will usually have an extra little wire with a spade on the end, which you connect to the ground terminal. Does the Rega not have one?

Hi, no it does not.

The ground from the turntable is connected though the signal leads.

No need to do anything, apart from enjoy the music
