Cable Nap 200 qute2
Posted by: Alix78 on 28 March 2016
hello,
I bought a Nap200 to connect to my qute 2. Someone would like to give me a suggestion witch kind of cable I need and the best Brand?
thank's in advance
There's all sorts of cables you could use, but for this application, I found a Flashback premium/premiere (can't remember which word it was, but you get the gist) RCA-4 pin DIN seemed pretty good to connect a UQ to a 150X.
Seems a waste going for anything more fancy to use a UQ into a power amp if you'll eventually upgrade the preamp, given that better cables come included with the better gear anyway.
Ok. So I'll buy RCA-4 pin DIN. Which Brand someone recommend? Thank's
Hi Dave is this one what you mean:
http://www.flashbacksales.co.u...-cable-21.html#SID=4
is ok for Nap200 + qute 2?
thank's
Yes, that cable will work.
Yep, that's what I used for Qute-150X. Seemed good to me.
Chord
Perfect, I bought... Thank's
Cool, hope it works well for you. Don't forget to turn the speaker setting on the Qute to 'off' (pretty sure I'm remembering that right).
That was what instantly showed the difference with using an external power amp with the Qute for me.
Hello,
i bougth the nap200 to Connect with the qute 2 but there is not a big difference. Probably Im doing something wrong. Could you help me with that? The speakers are B & W CM8. To start I put the speakers setting in off then I connect the speaker cable to Nap 200. Is that correct? Or maybe I shoul connect this cable to QUTE2?
thx in advance
Alessandro
Settings > Speakers = none
It also helps if you plug your speakers into Nap 200
Ok. So this is the best solution? Or is better if I plug the speaker into the qute2 ?
thank's
Qute into 200, 200 into speakers. Setting speakers-off disables the speaker output of the qute.

That is the only solution. This way you will be using Qute's streaming part and the pre-amp. Nap 200 will provide the power.
That begs a question though.... WHY? Are you planning an upgrade to N272?
No. For now no, my be later I'll buy the N272... Thank's much...
I'm glad it's working ok now. I hope you don't mind me saying, as I know English is not your first language, that there is no apostrophe in thanks. Plurals never have an apostrophe.

Plurals never have an apostrophe.
For a pedant, this statement is fascinatingly, and revealingly WRONG!
Think of the plural genitive, as the exception to the fishy spurious rule!
"The Joneses’ motorcar," - for example. Doh!
I was simply trying to help someone whose first language is not English, rather than being pedantic in any way. My point is that plurals don't have apostrophes to denote that they are plurals, e.g. two dogs rather than two dog's. The point you raise is entirely different and is an example of where the plural denotes ownership, as in the case of two dogs' tails, and does not invalidate my point.
It's a shame you didn't take my post in the spirit in which it was intended, rather than as an opportunity to be unpleasant, which is something you seem to do all too frequently of late.
Thanks and good night...
Now is doing great
ri- thanks
Just out of curiosity, Alix - what changed? You seemed unhappy, but then you said it was great. Did it suddenly start to sound better?

Your wrote, "plurals never have apostrophes."
I wonder what kind of help that is to anyone. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, as is oversimplification.
Of course when the inaccuracy is pointed out, then you eventually get it right!
Best wishes from George
We haven't heard from Adam in a while, but I'm sure he'd be glad to see the apostrophe police are not dead.
Audiophiles seem inextricably tied to pedantry and no one is right 100% of the time, although I suppose some pre-posting prudence is always in order.

Indeed
Actually I found the apostrophe rule in English relatively easy to follow.
Generally it is used for the so called Saxon genitive. Nouns and noun phrases generally form a possessive case with a suffix -'s (generally for single) or -s' (generally for plural).Personal pronouns tend to have irregular possessives which makes learning English fun e.g mine.
In our case the use of an apostrophe is a mistake, albeit one quite often made.

Pedantic pre-posting prudence presupposes that people pay proper perpension to punctuation of pleural apostrophes.....and actually, audiophiles aren't always arsed about apostrophe's anyway.
Ouch!
