Home networking Powerlines

Does anyone use these?

I'm considering trying a pair out to 'hardwire' Muso + Sonos t'net, as wifi from Router on other side of house can be flakey. Built in wifi would be useful though for the TV.

Any recommendations and do they impact on HiFi SQ?

Hi James. These really aren't a good idea, they definitely adversely affect sound quality.

Fair enough! Cheers guys.

Back to original idea of routing some ethernet cable around the outside of the house to a switch then!

Yes, I use power line adaptors and I could not detect any adverse affect on the sound quality from my hi fi system when I plugged them in.

But then again, I could not detect any adverse affect on the sound quality from my hi fi system when I plugged in my Lingo 1, so I am probably deaf.

But if you can try before you buy, why not give them a go? If they do impair the sound quality from your hi fi system, you can always unplug them.
