Playlists?

Posted by: robgr on 29 March 2016

I have a NAC-N 272 which streams music from a QNAP TS212-P NAS running MinimServer

I created a playlist which I can see from the 272 and a MuSo I that also have

What is the filename of the playlist and where is it stored?

I expected it to be *.m3u but I don't seem able to find any such files on the NAS

It would be useful to know for export/back up reasons

Did you create the playlist on the Naim app, or on Minimserver? If on the app, playlists are backed up along with the app, and can be viewed in iTunes. If on Minimserver, can't help you, I'm afraid, as I've never used it.

File Station > check the main directory where you music is stored. A folder should be called 'playlists'.

Thank you all and Phil H for all your advice

Looking further I can see that the original playlists (.m3u/.m3u8 files ) are located in their respective music folders and not in fact in a folder called 'playlists'

When viewing with appropriate apps the playlists must just be aggregated in to a folder called 'Playlists'

Also, I now understand that when I create a playlist via the Naim app it is stored only on that device

I have since found the .nmpl files on my tablet (thanks to Phil H here)
