Is it possible to bi-Amp with 2 nap 100?

Hey everybody,

I'm using a UQ2 as a streamer through the DAC V1 connected to a single NAP 100, feeding a pair of B&W PM1 speakers.

I was just wondering on how to bi amp the speakers using 2 NAP100, i know well the amp was not designed to be bridged in mono. However, just want to know whether that's possible at all; instead of using the Qute to feed the Treble and the NAP100 to drive the bass drivers.

So any thoughts of how one can have 2 NAP 100 in parallel driving 1 speakers each?

Please forgive my ignorance if the answers seems obvious to you but I would rather avoid activating the amp section of the Qute for now and prefer a dedicated separate amp option, if possible at all.

Many thanks for your feedback

Or you could have one amp powering the tweeters and the other the woofers.

I reckon you'd get better results for less cash with a nice used 200 rather than 2 x 100.

Thanks you both for your answers.

I do know i could use the Qute for powering the tweeters and the Nap 100 feeding the woofers but want to use the Qute only as a streamer, keeping its amp section disabled.

So any other suggestion on how to add a second NAP100 to the existing system?

Given that the uq has one output and the nap100 one input, you would somehow have to feed that same signal into the 2nd nap100. Might be possible by chaining the nap100 inputs together, but wouldnt be particularly elegant.

As Chris said above, you'll get much better results with a single 200. Biamping is largely a waste of time with Naim equipment.

I'm interested what the DAC v1 brings extra to the party. Is there a big improvement over the UQ alone. I'm considering to take the UQ to another level. Superunity is also in mind, but i really like the shoebox size. UQ, NAP100 and DAC v1.
