Elijah Audio Konvertible Lite USB for Chord Hugo

I just wanted to post my impressions of the Elijah Audio Konvertible Lite 160 cable for the Chord Hugo DAC.

In comparison with the bundled cable the difference is shocking. It is as big of an improvement as my Hugo was over the Audiolab MDAC.

All the standard Hifi improvements are expected such as improved bass midrange clarity and treble. I will note that I was suffering some treble glare from a few of my poor quality mp3 files which is now almost completely tamed.

What I find incredibly satisfying about this cable is just how composed it is. I can only liken it to partnering a powerful amplifier with a demanding speaker that was previously run with a less powerful amp. The cable has much more of a grip on the music. As Naim lovers we really appreciate a rhythmic sound therefore I strongly recommend this cable for all you Chord Hugo owners. It's a steal if you purchase at the shortest length which is what I am using and I am extremely satisfied with the improvement.

I've been using an Elijah Audio Quad Braid USB cable between my Mac Mini and USB only DAC for a year or so.

The sonic improvement over the Lindy cable I was using previously is large indeed, more natural sound overall and ,really, much more than I expected from merely changing a USB cable.

I previously had the Elijah audio isolate Cu. which was the quad braid without the power line. It was a very good cable indeed. I believe it's a custom audience cable used in the quad braid and isolate with cotton sleeve. A very natural and unforced sound.
