Art Dudley on Naim Audio Nait 2 AV Options rebuild in May 2016 Stereophile

This article might be the best Naim piece I have ever seen in the US press.    I will post it here when it shows up on their website.   It is worth buying the paper copy for.   The article is about the AV Options rebuild, recap, and refresh (including deep cryo treatment of the transformer and speaker cables) of a Nait 2.     Art Dudley has an appreciation for cool stuff.   Check it out.  My copy came in the mail today.

Yep, Art is the best one at Stereophile. He gets the importance of system matching when evaluating a component better than the lot. Atkinson's infatuation with pure measurements (and frankly his ability to be persuaded by marketing) always leads me to turn the page when I see his name credited.

Take a look at AVOptions website on their link explaining the Nait 2 rebuild. Makes me want to almost go buy one to get the restoration!

The Nait 2 already was selling for unlikely sums... Now it's going to become the Robocop of amps!

Still the best thing Naim ever made and now with the option of sounding better than ever.

Art Dudley used Naim gear as his reference for awhile back in the day.

Herb Reichert's work is also worth reading, as he describes very well the experience of listening. With him and Art on board, Stereophile is gradually morphing into the sorely missed Listener magazine.

The factory did a full rebuild (including new output devices) on my CB Nait 2 a couple of years back and I must say, within its limits it's a really fine sounding bit of kit.  Of course, I now wonder how it compares with Chris' "cryo" rebuild. Hmmm...

I read that article and really enjoyed it. Also, it's good to know the refurbishing options that are available.

Made me want to rush off and look for a Nait2...
