well just over two weeks ago I made the decision to jump to Naim and ordered a 202/200DR...still waiting for the one and only dealer in the country (it's a small country...) to tell me it's arrived...

How am I supposed to start the upgrade path if I still don't have anything to upagrade...?

Upgrade?  What happened to enjoying music..?  Enjoy your 202/200DR - unless your trying to say that you have not yet chosen source and speakers?

Even here in the UK, the waiting time for popular kit (like the 272 and 250DR for example) is four weeks plus (speaking from experience in the last six months) so I suppose you will need to add a week or so extra to that for where I guess you are, from your forum name. Anyway it's worth the wait!

best

And I waited a month for my 552DR.  I think Harry said it was two months to get his 500 DR'ed.  So 2 weeks for a 202/200 isn't long really

I've just ordered a 252,Supercap dr,250 dr and a Xps dr told delivery is about three weeks I honestly thought it would be longer than that so I will be quite pleased if the delivery keeps to this time scale.

all these people buying new systems - makes me jealous .. Mr PCD you going to love your 252, the Naim classic preamps are some of the best preamps in regular size cases on the planet. Listening to DJ Vadim and USSR Report on my 252 right now - I just love the way 252 digs out the groove on hardcore trip hop/hip hop - with nice deep deep bases to shake the sofa   and its not even that loud...

JF-Lux - congrats on your new 202/200 .. bet you can't wait..

And I thought I could blame the recent motorway blockage by the Belgian lorry drivers... Sounds like I will just need to be patient.

Hi Simon, really looking forward to the new kit this to be used with some new Spendor D7 speakers and my existing NDX.

It was due to some of your replies on the forum that I put the 252 into the mix, listened to a 282,Supercap based system to start with then added a power supply to the NDX this moved everything up to a different level.

Changing the 282 for the 252 was another dramatic uplift everything just seemed to clic into place the bass was more controlled extra detail in spades and voices were outstanding.

The dealer explained that the new dr spec power supplies brought the best out of the 252 and I can now understand this a truly wonderful and engaging sound.

I ordered the Super Lumina interconnect and speaker cables on Thursday and expect to wait at least two weeks. I pass the time reading Dark Bear's posts about them being the best upgrade ever!

+1 for the wonders of the 252, by the way.

JF Lux, we all agree that you are more than welcome to cross the small border and upgrade now to 252.

Well...popped into the dealer this afternoon to be told it arrives Tuesday. So also ordered a run of A5 cable whilst I was there.

Haven't told Mrs JF Lux about the NDX versus ND5XS+XPS comparison demo I also booked before I left....well, it would have been rude not to give it a try...no?

Oh I waited some 5 weeks for my XPS recently. The problem is that now I have  to live thru burn-in period which is nasty. It sounded ok on day one and than (end of week one) sounds so-so. Muddy, less engageing and so on.

What about the NDX with XPS comparison, just for reference purposes obviously.....?
