iOS Naim App vs. iOS TIDAL App

I just signed in for TIDAL. It works to play on my Naim streamer using the Naim App. But when I use the original TIDAL app (there is even a link inside the Naim app to the TIDAL app) I didn't find a way to play musik on the Naim streamer. How to do it with the TIDAL app?

You can't, to play Tidal via a Naim streamer you need to use the Naim app

Why would you want to do that when you can access Tidal from within the Naim app?

Thanks a lot for your answers.

The Tidal App looks much easier to navigate to me and it looks easier to discover new music. The Naim App shows only a few covers and some songs, that's it.

Also, the Naim App is not the fastest app on my iPad.

I did wonder if this was your reason. On a recent thread, some had missed the 'More' option which expands the lists of tracks or albums available. Other than that, if you find less music available than on the Tidal app, it's possibly worth taking this up with Naim support, as I think Tidal's full catalogue should be available to Naim subscribers.

If you still want to use the Tidal app you would need an Airport Express or Sonos Connect, and would see a drop in sound quality. Then you might consider Spotify instead, which has a wider selection than Tidal. Reduced SQ, but half the price, and maybe OK if it's just to discover new music which you can then buy.
