Newbee says hello

Posted by: Japtimscarlet on 11 May 2016

Hi everyone

Although I've had some naim kit for a while ( had a red led Nait 1 from new till it got too tempting to sell it !!) I have not joined a forum

Now I am looking for info on my aro I thought I would join and ( maybe) be able to give something back ...

Anyway brief rundown of my modest system

Fraim racking  x six

Nait xs2 with flatcap

Cd5si

Puresound p10 phono with gold valves

Lp12 with aro and Armageddon

Lp12 with ittok and Hercules

Cam audio streamer With nas

Russell k red 100 speakers

As I said ..quite modest but nice sound all the same

The aro deck is a recent addition and I will probably be asking some silly questions

Anyway ... A virtual round of beers to everyone on here and hi

Tim

Hi Tim, welcome.   Modest my ass !   Nice set up.

Whereabouts in the big wide world are you living?

Roger

Hi Roger

I'm on the sunny East coast ...not far from Ipswich ...my local naim dealer is signals audio ...and very good too

No ..I stand by modest ...when some people have power amps that cost more than my whole setup !!

Posted on: 11 May 2016 by Japtimscarlet

And I should also mention that I have had good service from intune audio ...formally called naimlylinn ....got a pair of mk2 intros in black ash ...but didn't really gel with them so had to go ..but the Russell k ...no regret there ...look superb in piano black on Linn stands ..and sound better still

Welcome Tim! An interesting definition of 'modest'.

Congrats on having managed to get your first post edited

Yes sorry I messed up on my first post ...I do know why it was ...but it was perhaps a little extreme to delete the sentence  ..

Been looking around for the diagram on how to bend the Aro anti skate post but cannot find it?

can anyone point me in the right direction please

Thanks

Can't help you with the ARO but 'respect' on having your first post moderated! A rite of passage indeed. Bit like a new gang member with an ASBO.

Welcome to the forum.

Don't worry ... after much searching I have found the post / diagram ...is under a post about  cartridges ??

Anyway ...looks interesting

Greetings Tim,

A very nice brace of gramophones you have there. Andy at Signals is used to dealing with my Aro equipped LP12, so will be able to assist.

Welcome to the forum. My usual warning to newcomers - from Naim and their dealers you will get good sensible advice. Here; you might just get paranoia.

Good listening.

John.

Very wise! To quote Master Joda: 'Afraid you will'
