n-Serve app update-featuring playlist support

New playlist creation feature for n-Serve
An update is available today, Friday 1st July, from the App Store which gives Naim’s n-Serve control app full playlist functionality. The updated app, which is available on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, allows for an even greater degree of control over Naim’s server products the HDX, UnitiServe and their SSD variants.
Users can build a playlist from the play queue by editing and then saving the list of tracks as a playlist with the name of their choice. Users can also create playlists by adding tracks or entire albums to an existing playlist or create a new one from the “Add to…” button.

I can now create playlists on the nServe and play them back on the nStream, which is nice.

Is there play queue functionality in n-Serve? Can tracks be added to an already playing playlist?

Yes

Where can I find (see) the actual current playlist?
Thanks in advance!

Michel

Yes, how do you see the current playlist or "current queue", as it's called? And what do the "All" and "None" buttons do?

steeve, on it as soon as we can.
Krm, all and none buttons at the bottom of the displayed playlist allow you to select all or none for editing/deleting.

Hi Paul,
Thanks, got it. I hadn't noticed the black buttons (on the back background).
Michel, if you hit play and then the cover art icon in the top right it takes you to the track being played (much like the n-Stream "Player" mode). You can then cycle between three views, current track, current track data and the play queue.
I really like the n-Serve now. If the n-Stream can be brought up to this standard I will be very happy.
I guess the difficulty for n-Stream is that it has to be capable of connecting it to a wide variety of UPNP Servers? Presumably it is possible to get it to do all this relatively easily if it's being used with the Unitiserve, which would be a nice bonus for those of us using an all-Naim UPNP setup?
Tennis getting very good, by the way!

A more useful feature would be a "favourite" list/button or "rating" list/button - that can be recalled as one needs it. Unless there is a way out - if so, How?
Also, when will UnistiServe have the control for Internet Radio - I have songbook for this but it's driving me mad! - it has it's own mood - mostly in state of drunkenness.
Do not forget other platform - like Android devices.

Hi Paul,
An "Ignore prefixes when sorting by artist" option would be great. I like that, for instance, The Who show up under "W" rather than "T" without having to change the tag to just "Who, The".
