Hoop.less does itself proud...

From the Twitter feed:-
Thanks Guido, but to quote Trent Reznor "I tried, I tried, but I gave up.". Actually I think there are a few other Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) quotes that could be used in reference to Hoopless, but I will refrain.
I have asked that the thread I posted be deleted, as all it consisted of was embed codes from YouTube, but no video.
Again thanks for your help.
Jamie, Saw your attempts in your thread, and you're almost there.
Once you've copied the embed code (that appears after pressing 'Share' in YouTube), in the 'Your Reply' box here, you just need to hit the HTML button (on the right, after the one with a pen) and copy the code.
For instance, here's an embed code:
<iframe width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/IcY0a8gKCzc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Hit the HTML button, and another box comes up with anything you've already written, now in HTML code. Paste your code (altering the size if you want) and hit update, and a yellow box with your video appears in the 'Your Reply' box...
When I hit 'Submit Reply', that box should show up as my video, embedded into my post. It's kind of clunky, and to post anything else after the video, I have to go back to the HTML format again, but hey it works.
HTH,
CC
This is one cool video. Yak films...
Thanks CC.
I thought that I had done that. When I hit the HTML button, it brought up a 'table' dialogue box, and I pasted the code into that, and edited the cells down to 1x1, then hit post reply. Code but no video.
To be honest, I have lost interest in posting videos. I can author websites in Dreamweaver, not the best tool, but one that I am happy with, and I don't have any fear of the code, I just have lost the will to post videos with the forum as it is .
I suppose I could always quote other video boxes and edit them, but again, it doesn't seem worth it.
The turnover on threads is so slow now compared with last year when discussions happened really quickly, so posting is getting less interesting. I tried to be positive, but am falling in with those who do not like Hoopla.
And still no "Padded Cell" link in the top menu.
The best place for Hoop.less.

After the new update, the forum has lost track of last post read.
Any thread I open, I am back on post #1.
Losing interest rapidly....

Re: 'One of our readers likes it '
That is a bit like how it feels to use it, just now.
