Flash Remote Control

Hi
Need some advice on the Flash remote control
To be honest, I never use it that much, it's still in mint condition from new. But recently I try to use it, the battery are gone, even changes the battery it's not working?
Same as the plastic Naim Remote control. It can't be they all broken at the same time.
Let me know, thanks
Sounds like it's locked, pull the batteries out and let the remote sit for 10 mins and reload the batteries and all should be fine.
if you google the remote a post by Richard Dane comes up on this topic
best
Martin, the Flash needed a certain knack with installing the batteries, otherwise it would partially charge up a cap and then lock up, appearing to be dead. The trouble is that the battery compartment is quite tight, so ensuring you don't get a partial battery connection during the install is rather difficult - the trick is to get them all in bar the last one, then try to quickly snap the final one into place as fast as you can - that usually works. If not, there's a dirty fix where you can short out the offending cap and then try again. This avoids having to wait for the cap to discharge naturally. But I'd only recommend this if you know absolutely what you're doing. If not, it would be a shame to break it.
Thanks Hi Fi Fo Fum, I let it for a few hours for Narcom2, still it wasn't working. Is it choosy for the batteries as well?
Thanks Richard, will try on the Flash, is it also applied to Narcom2?
Thanks
If the Narcom isn't working either then, apart from duff batteries, chances are something else is amiss. What are you trying to control?
You can just put the batteries into the Narcom in the usual way. It's only the Flash that can be a little tricky.
Thanks Richard and others, the Flash is finally working, great! And relief! Shame to see this work of art broken!
Now the Duracell Procell Battery is called Duracell Industrial?
Still no luck for the Narcom though!
Richard, just try to control CDS2 and volume on 52, it used to work perfectly!
Will but other set of batteries and try again.
Have you had old dead batteries in the Narcom? Sometimes the tiny bit that contacts the battery can have corrosion that is hard to see and means poor or no electrical contact. Gently clean the terminals on the Narcom (the ones you can see) and try a fresh set of batteries. Obviously, ensure you have the right soft key selected for either CD or Pre.
