A few nights ago, I hosted a dinner and invited guests to append songs to a playlist using an iPad and the Spotify app into my NDX. For all its deficiencies, this works very well for me and the family , usually. But, during the party, guests were constantly f*****g the play list.
After, I was inspired to revisit the Squeezebox Touch and iPeng Party, to see if it even works any more. Does it ever! This seems to be THE answer to the problem. Offer the guests iPeng Party and they queue up with no option to mess things up. It even lets guests mix Spotify and server songs. The admin, running the full iPeng or Logitech app can edit the queue. Are there any other similar apps for Naim or Sonos out there that would free me from the tyranny of the Spotify app -- and the Squeezebox, which is "obsolete"? (if not, I suggest trying it out. No bugs or glitches I can see.)

Failing a Naim option, a way to do this in Audiarvana+ would be good.
Worn out bleat, I know, but the Squeezebox platform really was ahead of its time, having unique features, and great sound quality at a reasonable price.

Completely agree with you about the Squeezebox platform. However there is a way to combine the use of LMS and Naim and that is by using the uPnP/DNLA bridge plugin written by Philippe_44 which I've been using it for the last 18 months or so with my Uniti. The plugin doesn't do player sync (and probably never will) and there are a few minor quirks but apart from that it works a treat.
The link to the thread on the Squeezebox forum is here: http://forums.slimdevices.com/...NA-players-with-LMS-(squeeze2upnp)
The stable version is actually in the 3rd party plugins but note that it is the UPNP/DNLA bridge NOT the uPnP Server plugin.
The preset configuration file is based on my setup though hasn't been updated for a while so may need tweaking as it isn't current but I'm happy to share my configuration settings.
Hope that helps!
