An overriding sense of déjà vu sometimes overwhelms me here

The AAS is so much better than the AAX but the AAX is no slouch either.

'The XXX makes the YYY sound like its broken.'

I think we should formulate a Naim Forum Drinking Game: take one sip every time someone mentions 'a veil being lifted'. Two sips for 'inky blackness' being mentioned, three for 'when it comes to loudspeakers all bets are off - auditioning is essential'. Down half a bottle if a certain member extols the virtues of Quad ESLs over every other loudspeaker in the history of audio (but the whole bottle if mono is also mentioned).

If people keep asking the same boring questions it's no surprise if they get the same boring answers. Perhaps everyone should try to start up some really interesting threads. Paul Stephenson ate my hamster?

Well now that you ask,

I suppose technically it's a stout, but a stout is nowt but a strong porter and although I usually add an IMHO when talking about Naim I can categorically say this is one of the best bottled stouts in the world without worrying about some esoteric pretender showing up.

Now this is inky blackness personified.
