Hi res portable audio and Muso

Hi, I just wanted to find out if anybody had tried any of the current hi-res portable audio players connected to a Muso?  Is there a significant improvement in sound over an iPod?  I prefer the sound of my iPod via a decent wired connection with the Muso over the sound of the music streamed over my wi-fi net work.  Thanks
