The Tidal is out

Posted by: MusicRoom on 18 June 2016

Probably my fault as I signed up to Tidal via a web browser rather than through the iOS App.   I did not get my full 90 day trial period.  They started taking my £19.99 just after 30 days.

Is there any way to redress this faux pas?  I would dearly like to have the £39.98 in my bank account rather than in Madonna's!

Start again using the app, and just use a different email address.

As Bart said, just sign up using the app with a different email. As long as you have not used Naim's promotional code you'll be fine.

I just signed up in France via the app and still only got one free month

Why bother in a frist place? If you think about it - you pay a lot of money for music you never own....

We're discussing the free period, no?

Certainly..... My question was refering to a more general topic 'why bother with Tidal at all'

It cost 5£ for hifi version in Turkey,19,99TL,  if you have vpn maybe worth a try! I like it very much with play lists to listen 80s90s one song wonder hits, my wife finds her youth disco music ( I will never buy ace of Base cd) and enjoys it, so it can be usefull, also it is a wonderfully gadget to discover new artists and have listen to new albums before to decide to buy a hard copy format, I used to buy 10cds per month now it is 2 max max!

I know a lot of people think that way, but for me as long as I can hear all the music I want to whenever I want to, I don't give a sh*t who "owns" it. These days with copyright and legal copying/sharing restrictions "ownership" is a complex issue anyway.

Having said that, I still keep my archive on a upnp system in case of internet armageddon

I had a similar problem with the 90 day free trial as I signed in using a dormant account from an earlier (non Naim deal) 30 day free trial.  I emailed Tidal (not really  expecting much joy) and they sorted it straight away and refunded the payment.  Most impressed with the customer service !

ditto  service spot on

i cancelled my 30 day free trial before the 30 days and using  a different email address, got the 90 day free trial through the naim app. But if its crossed the 30 day period, you are probably at the mercy of the customer service graces. Perhaps worth saying you didnt realise you could not redeem the voucher over the web.
