Tagging Downloaded WAV Files

Posted by: heihei on 19 June 2016

This weekend I spent some time cleaning up my tagging of genres, artwork etc. using Meta from Nightbirdseveolve as well as n-Serve on my Mac (server for my NDS is a Unitiserve SSD, with the music sitting on a Netgear NAS). As part of this, I downloaded some WAV files (mostly of vinyl I've bought recently, but also the latest Radiohead album), and used Meta to tidy up the tagging of genre, titles etc. The one thing I don't seem able to tag correctly is the album artwork - I just get the Naim symbol.

Any ideas as to how to correct this?

Find the jpg online. Put it in the folder with the music files and name it 'folder'

I also note that the file / image size needs to be small for this to work.

I think this is a function of the media server software,  I'm not sure of detail & its been talked about on the forum not so long ago, I use Synology's native UPnP Media Server & have no problems (yet);  the biggest I know I have is 1400x1400,  some might be even bigger.

'Moon Shaped Pool' by Radiohead WAV download was a bit annoying to tag.
iTunes did a good job of assigning correct tags and artwork. Resolution of 1400 x 1400 is fine too.
