Deleting download/editing metadata

I ripped a CD while, unknown to me, the wired network to the UQ was "down". I ended up with the music but completely wrong metadata. The N-serve app would not allow me to edit the metadata or delete the entire album. Using Finder on my iMac found the file but would not allow me to do the delete. I am not an IT expert and would appreciate advice on how to delete the erroneous album. When the network connection was restored the album was correctly ripped
