Unitilite termperatur

Posted by: fernar on 29 June 2016

Got my Unitilite late this morning - it's wired up and producing a nice sound.... while fiddling around with the menus I discovered that you can see the temperature that the Unitilite is operating at... (interestingly this data is not available on the N272 I also have)...

My Unitilite is running at 38C... the top of the box is warm to the touch (where as with my N272 the top of the unit is just barely warm) - I am concerned if my Unitilite is running 'hot'...

Can anyone who also has a Unitilite let me know what temp their box is running at - you can find this information if you go into 'Setup' then 'Factory Reset', then 'Status' and scroll down the list - it's nearly the last field....

Snap - 38C as well: all quite normal.

Forester,

Thanks for checking and confirming... puts my mind at rest....

They tend to get warm but quite understandable given the electronics crammed into the box. Not an issue though.

Both my Unitis (UQ2 and SU) run at approximately 36C, with ambient temperature +22C.

Adam - I assume that your devices run at 2C lower because all the electronic are in a bigger case ans so have more air space..

Fernar,

Racking, air circulation, speaker cable and length, and the volume you play at will also contribute to the Unitilite's temp. Certainly +/- 2ÂșC is nothing to be concerned with. Your 272 is barely warm because it does not include a power amp.

Are you sure? My SU run between 42-47.  Maybe also it depends on the speakers  impedence, my Elac run at 4 ohm

Positive - measured it recently, for another thread on this forum.
