Power cables / distribution blocks

Posted by: SamC on 29 June 2016

Having long been very sceptical that power chords or distribution blocks could possibly make a difference - my father was a lifelong electrical engineer who swore blind it was impossible plus I'm a little cynical about the motivations of all sellers and am a psychologist with a reasonable understanding of why spending £xxxx on something will make you like it...

however, now mid install of a new distribution block with numerous "powerlines" attached. Have only done the 2x hicap and the NAPSC so far, with Nap 250, DAC, DAC's psu, server & serve's psu to follow - plus the vinyl side but i remain sceptical there. Difference isn't subtle. Equivalent to a psu upgrade or the firmware update already.

While I was at it, and trying to be careful with forum rules here, I had additional output cables included in the block for blu ray player, tv and AVR...only done the tv so far but initially impressions are no change.

Hope that's suitably phrased to keep it acceptable.

Not sure I can quote brand here - they also make psus and other cable a that directly compete... But a small company in Leeds who can be googled and have been mentioned once or twice by others (and me) on here.

This sentence may not be acceptable here, but if one cannot afford x powerlines plus a distribution block it's a neat solution. It wasn't super cheap, but it has 11 power chords coming out of it...
