For a spotify usage around 1000€ on   used market, would it be possible to connect a unitiqute2 on my nac252 and use it exclusively as a source?

thanks in advance for your feedback

Yes, possible, but a used ND5 XS would be a LOT better.

But it is much more expensive..double price...

OK, on doing the research, it seems than, on average, the Euro price is quite a bit more than the equivalent GBP.  I hadn't expected that.

I love my Qute, but if it's just for spotify usage then I would look at an alternative such as a Bluesound Node 2 so you don't pay for the redundant power amp section. But if you're thinking you might use it for some higher quality streaming like Tidal or FLAC/WAV files from a NAS, then the Qute will do a great job.

I recently tested a Qute outputting to a NAP200, on its own and with a DAC V1. The DAC gave a clear improvement in terms of sounding more natural, resolved and relaxed. The Qute as source sounded a little tense and tightly-wound by comparison. I'm not sure how much used DAC V1's are in Europe, but it got me thinking about how best to upgrade my own current source without spending too much.

If they are not too expensive used, running the DAC V1 with an already owned PC for streaming may be an option?
