Carrom (Karrom)

Posted by: Loki on 22 July 2016

Just come back from holiday having enjoyed playing Carrom. The board was of the usual dimensions but unusually was on its own legs. Try as I might I can't find one anywhere with legs. Does anyone know where I can source a Carrom board on legs for the UK, before I try and build my own? and, no, a Fraim would not be suitable!

Oh dear! you'll just have to slum it with an IsoBlue or a Hutter;  maybe you could persuade Tyr to make you something rather special.

I guess it would make the game sound better...

The Ikea lack table is the standard answer to all these questions - but in fact fits the Karom table I have while leaving the pockets over the edge.

I've never seen one with its own legs.  They're designed to either be played on the floor or put on a table.

In Canada my challenge is to keep the bugger flat as the large swings in humidity over the year will make it warp.

Thanks guys. A separate table does look like the answer, as long as the pockets hang over the edge as Dave suggests.
