Mu-so (Qb) Deep-sleep mode

Posted by: Kurt L on 22 July 2016

Hi All,

Any idea when the Mu-so (Qb) goes into "deep-sleep" mode? I looked up the manual of my Qb but couldn't find anything.

The Qb is now for more than 16 hours in stand-by and is still in stand-by as I still see the IP address in my attached device list of my router (and it appears also on the app).

Thanks,

Kurt

Kurt,

You need to hold down the power button for a few seconds to put it into deep sleep.

Hi Sam,

That's clear and explains why the unit remains in stand-by.

I was expecting the Qb should go into deep sleep automatically after "some" time. As this seems not to be the case, I'll do it manually.

Thanks for the swift reply.

On the subject of Qb modes, there is also a 'cleaning mode' on the app. I wonder what this might be.

Well, when you select "cleaning mode" on the app, it blocks/locks all controls (the "wheel") on the Qb, so you can "clean" when the Qb is playing...

No more complex than that :-)

Thanks Kurt - I had assumed it was something much more technical. I usually clean the top when it's off, and then find it comes on while cleaning. But now there is the wonderful 'cleaning mode' to use. Wouldn't it be great if it worked on small children?

I was thinking about cleaning some (cache) memory on the Qb, but no, it is really down to earth.

For small children, you would prefer a "mute" button...
