WAV format

Under streaming versatility for the NDX, it says it streams WAV. Is that the same as WAV lossless?

WAV is lossless...

FE, usually yes. The full spec of wave files allows for lossy audio data types and is used more in industrial apps, but in consumer hifi Wave files are nearly always lossless PCM.

Simon,
How do you know this stuff? I learn a ton from reading your posts, seriously!
BTW - I still have not connected the FM part of the NDX. Too much travel and too little time at home in NYC. And now with 40 degree weather and air cons running full blast it is not exactly the best time for considered listening in this town.
Cheers, David

David, thanks I am glad you find my musings of interest;-).
Well I used to be in a engineer in the broadcast media industry and for the last 10 years I have been an engineer designer (amongst other things) in the telecommunications industry, as well as holding a CEPT class 1 radio operators licence, and all those accreditations, exams and training I guess rubs off on you.. ;-)
