It is for sending to Salisbury, so that a safe diagnosis can be undertaken, as it looks like some sort of heavily modified power supply now...

It is not a NAP140. It looks as if it may have been once upon a time, but not now. Probably a salvaged case and chassis and who knows what inside. If you don't know what it is then I suggest you have it looked over by a qualified electronics engineer. More than that falls well outside of the forum AUP, so best I close the thread now.
