Idiots guide to automation

I have read the automation instructions on my NDS and frankly they might as we'll be in Hebrew in terms of how my brain deals with instructions.....

Can someone give me an idiots guide to setting up automation between NDS and 252.

Gary, just had my NDX/252 sorted this week by the dealer ,might I suggest you talk to your dealer he should be able to offer guidance.

You will need a 3.5mm minijack to RCA cable, this connects between NDS "RC5 out" (3.5mm minijack) to 252 "RC5 in" (RCA). You can buy these on www; cable quality & fancy prices have no effect on SQ, mine cost less than a fiver including P&P.

Then set up the NDS system automation using the NDS remote on the NDS display screen per the manual in Section 4.9 - System Automation Menu. The instructions are about as dumb as it gets & if you have trouble following that, then a dealer is the only answer.

Thanks guys, looks like I did it correctly but I had assumed the actual NDS remote would work on the volume as well as the iPad.

iPad all sorted now so I'll retire the actual remote!

The NDS remote contol does actually work on the 252 - volume, mute and input switching. I wouldn't retire it just yet

Yes, NDS remote can definitely change the volume on the 252.
