32.5 CAD Motherboard or Swirly --Which?

Yes, the old "artwork" boards sounded slightly different - I guess "softer" is about right, but like all things that are so old now, such differences and distinctions are probably lost in the ageing and variation of so much else.  You should listen and draw your own conclusions; I've heard NAC32.5s that were anything from sublime to "just not doing it" with nothing obvious to tell physically tell them apart.

When the 32/42 boards were re-drawn (5 series), it was possible to have this upgrade retrofitted. The effect was easily audible on my 42, bass note 'focus' was clearly improved.
