best way to connect for SQ

Hi all,

New to the forum but have had Naim gear for 10 years. System comprises of 122x, 150x, cd5x, fc2, headline2, napsc, Michell TecnoDec,  Pro-Ject phonobox SE and Dynaudio Focus 110 speakers. At the moment the fc is connected to cd5x & 122x, napsc for headline. I got an amazing deal on a nac202 & nap200 so I've snatched their hands off. Im due to collect them today but was just wondering what the best way to integrate into my system. Should I use the fc to power the cd5 & headline as i have a slics cable knocking about and use the 200 + napsc to power the 202. Would this be the best path to choose or is there a better way, can't yet invest in a new fc or hicap as have just bought the wife a UnitiServe and DAC V1 to work with the Mac and Mu-SO's. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I buy my wife quite a few "nice" things.  And she's got an engineering background, is good with home repairs, and even likes and uses the really nice Makita cordless drill I bought her a few years ago.  But a UnitiServe and dac would not elicit an "Oh honey, you shouldn't have!"  Actually it would . . .

The DAC is going into my pre amp as my cdx5 isn't digital and the UnitiServ also plays discs so there was an ulterior motive behind it, but of corse she doesn't know that. She's a nightmare with her cd's (never puts them away) and told her its so she can rip them all to it and stream to the Mu-So that i got her for Christmas.

That's exactly the right reason to go from cd's to a music server (it was my reason too -- cd clutter eliminated)!

202/NAPSC -> 200  is the basic setup.  You may as well try different combinations with the FC2 and see what sounds best to you.

Ooh, that' a new one to me: non-digital CD. Is it like mini-vinyl, with a little arm and cartridge?

Sorry, couldn't resist! It probably does (play nice).

Typing too fast, what I meant was no digital output. Just set it all up and the step up from the 122x-150x combo is amazing. I always thought my system was quite good but the level of detail has blown me away. The question I'm asking myself now is what if it were a 282
